Football is all over for the season

Well, Sam and Burk had the playoff game Saturday. It was a no go, poor little Sam was broken hearted. He loves football so much and is so good at it. He gave the game 110% every play, never came out of the game. The score was 20-6, but our boys did the best they could. Our team is 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders. The team we played was 3rd graders, 4 or 5 4th graders and a 5th grader. It makes it alittle bit harder to win against a team like that.
Football has taught my Sammy boy alot. He has had the high's and low's of winning and losing, but most of all, we have watched him try to keep his team upbeat and fired up. He has learned that when you get beat, get back up, when you get kicked down, get back up. I am very proud of him, but it is hard to watch him fall apart after the game is over cause the outcome is not what he was hoping for.

Lanse was so amazing with these boys, and to watch how him and Sam grow together and go through the emotions of each game each week. They both really take it to heart.
