Grandpa & Grandma Chournos' Visit

We had such a fun Presidents Day weekend! Grandpa and Grandma Chournos and cousin Leni came to visit us. We haven't seen any of them since October, so it was fun to have time together again. It is always late nights, poker, games, bike rides, and basketball games. (Grandpa hasn't learned that he cant beat Sam all the time, or Sam is extremely unhappy!!!) This time we ventured down the street to the pickle ball courts and tried pickle pall. It was a lot of fun, but hard! Sophie and Grandma played tennis. That ball is much easier, but Sophie still couldn't figure out what to do. It was alot of laughs.

One of the things that our family has missed since we moved is Grandpa Chournos' Sunday dinners. We got lucky and he made us an amazing dinner. His new fried chicken recipe (which by the way is to die for), his homemade mac-n-cheese, homemade scones, and veggies. Aspen even helped Grandpa out and helped him cook. Aspen made homemade cinnamon honey butter. It was so good I think we used a tablespoon per bite with our scones!

Saturday night the older kids had a church dance that they went to and took Leni with them. The girls seemed to have alot of fun, but Aspen came home shortly after it started and said "Yeah, No.... it is too boring!" So he went back later and picked the girls up. All afternoon Grandpa kept offering to be  a chaperon for the girls but for some odd reason they wernt having that! (guess they didn't want to be embarrassed)

The girls and Leni had a great time. Those three girls get along so well, and have missed each other so much! It is fun to watch them all together. It makes me sad that we are so far away from Leni, because my girls love her and they are all such good friends. At least they all have their electronics so they are always in contact!

Monday afternoon was sad when we had to say good-bye and watch them drive away. It was much funner when they pulled into our driveway Friday night, but we had a great time with them, and look forward to the next visit. We just hope it's not so far between visits.

We miss and love you Grandpa and Grandma......and Leni too!!!!!!!
